Correct drawbar stroke in the spindle is critical to reliable machine operation. An incorrectly set stroke means the tool holder is likely not held correctly, leading to spindle taper, tool holder, gripper, and retention knob damage. An incorrectly set knock-out stroke can also result in "stuck" tool holders.

Using the stroke verification gauge, this critical setting can be quickly checked as part of a preventative maintenance program. For spindle service technicians, the gauge is an indispensable service tool and time-saver.
