Who we are

Founded in 1991, TAC Rockford provides products and engineering services to manufacturers. TAC Rockford is a division of of Transatlantic Connection, Inc.

What we do

Transatlantic Connection focuses on integrating unique products for manufacturers of machining centers and sourcing critical replacement parts, while TAC Rockford provides innovative solutions for manufacturing companies that improve productivity, reduce machine downtime, and shorten the product development process. For example, the ForceCheck gage (made in Rockford) is a tool which can predict problems with a machine’s ability to hold a tool before they become serious.

Who our customers are

Most of our customers produce “metal products” for automotive, aerospace, machine tool, and other diverse sectors. That said, some customers do everything from making guitars to maintaining wind farms to supplying urgent parts for municipal water treatment plants and everything in between — we never know who we’ll get to talk to when we pick up the phone! Companies range from one-person shops to major corporations such as General Motors, Boeing, and Caterpillar. We have a growing international customer base as well, with customers in many European and Asian countries.

In October 2005, our company renovated a 1930’s era building in Rockford’s downtown River District. We chose this location because it is a great place to work and to make a commitment to the success of the downtown community.
